It's no secret that Apple's tiny AirPods earbuds get lost—a lot.

Well, someone on Reddit recently created a massive, hairdryer-sized AirPod replica that'll never get accidentally left on an airplane.

Aaron B., who goes by Master_Aar on Reddit, posted what he calls a 10-inch-tall, fully functional Bluetooth AirPod made using a 3-D printer, window screen and a "super cheap" speaker. The designer told Mashable the project took five hours to model and another 15 hours to print.

He said in a comment on Reddit that he can't sell the knockoff though "several people have asked if it's available for purchase." He added that he may post a tutorial someday.

"It gets loud enough to be a TV speaker, but the is pretty bad," Master_Aar said in a comment. The gadget is "mostly for aesthetics, would not recommend practical use."

The Reddit thread was commented on over 2,000 times since it went live on Monday. To prove that the photo wasn't just Photoshop, Aaron posted a video showcasing the device's internal hardware.

Redditors had mixed reactions to the innovation.

"I'm picturing this drying your hair by blasting music at face-shattering decibels," writes AlekBalderdash. "It's missing the little spot of earwax but you nailed the missing right one so well," writes Cev0. "This is stupid and great," comments Workin_on_a_sponse.

Aaron says he is considering building a right-side earbud to pair with the left.

In October, Apple unveiled Pro versions of the company's AirPods, which were quickly parodied online. People on Twitter compared the $249 waterproof earbuds to hairdryers, Pokemon and various other animated creatures.
