The iPhone 12 Pro, the more expensive of the new iPhones that began pre-order sales Friday, is the harder to get of the two available models, so far.

Pre-orders for the iPhone 12 began Friday, and shows delivery dates of Oct. 23, which is the day Apple plans to begin selling it, while delivery times for the step-up 12 Pro show delivery dates as late as Nov. 6 on Apple's website.

Apple actually has announced four new iPhones, but the other two models, the iPhone 12 Mini and iPhone 12 Pro Max, won't be released until Nov. 13.

The iPhone 12 and 12 Pro promise a more powerful processing chip, tougher, hard-to-break glass and connectivity to the new 5G wireless networks. The 12 Pro has advanced camera features, while the 12 Pro Max has even more camera goodies, a longer lasting battery and the largest screen seen to date on an iPhone, at 6.7 inches. The Mini is a smaller version of the iPhone 12.

The iPhone 12 starts at $799, while the iPhone 12 Pro starts at $999. The Mini is $699 and the Max starts at $1,099.

Beyond Apple's website, Best Buy is also selling the phones, as well as carriers AT&T, T-Mobile and Verizon.

All tout Oct. 23 delivery dates for the iPhone 12, while T-Mobile says the 12 Pro will be delivered between Oct. 24 and Nov. 2, AT&T has Oct. 26 to November 2 and Verizon has Oct. 30 as the delivery date.

Pre-orders for the Max and Mini begin at 5 a.m. on Nov. 6, for Nov. 13 .
