Microsoft confirmed Tuesday its productivity software Teams is back online following a brief outage.

In a tweet Tuesday posted from a Microsoft 365 Status account used to provide service updates, the company said the issue originally impacted Europe and Asia before spreading.

"We've confirmed that this issue affects globally," wrote Microsoft.

In a subsequent tweet posted just after 9 a.m. ET Tuesday, Microsoft said Teams "is performing as expected."

"If a user is still experiencing impact, they need to restart their clients to recover," reads the tweet.

Multiple users of Microsoft Teams had reported issues to Down Detector, a website that tracks online service outages. The first reports surfaced just before 6 a.m. ET.

A couple of the most reported on Down Detector included server connection issues and troubles logging in to the platform.
