Fortnite launches virtual experience for Martin Luther King Jr.'s 'I Have A Dream' speech.

Fortnite is going back in time for its newest crossover experience.

The wildly popular video is launching a new experience themed around Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have A Dream" speech.

The game calls the event "March Through Time," where players will be able to embark on an "immersive journey" back to 1963 to witness King's historic speech in a "re-imagined" version of Washington D.C., dubbed D.C. 63, according to a PlayStation blog post by Ryan Broseker of Fortnite developer Epic Games.

The virtual experience appears to mimic the Lincoln Memorial, where King delivered his iconic speech on Aug. 28, 1963, in one of the defining moments of the 1960s .

In a short trailer video put out by PlayStation, players will seemingly have the opportunity to attend the speech, hold signs and clap along as a recording of King's address plays.

The experience also features museum-like quotes and teachings as well as quests to be completed with other players.

The experience was met with some backlash on , where many expressed frustration with a civil rights icon like King being likened to a character in a .

In a clip uploaded by Jake Lucky that's now making rounds on Twitter, Fortnite players can be seen doing dances in front of King's .

Some streamers with early access to the experience shared videos online, giving gamers a peek at D.C. 63.

The popular online game typically focuses on entertainment crossovers, most recently with a performance by Ariana Grande and trailers for films such as "Star Wars Episode IV: The Rise of Skywalker" and "Tenet" debuting within the game.
