Would you spend more than $6,000 on a laptop?

On Monday, Apple hosted a virtual event from its California headquarters, where it announced a new line of MacBook Pro laptops and third-generation AirPods.

The new MacBook Pro is available in two models: a 14-inch and 16-inch. You can preorder them starting Monday, and they go on sale Oct. 26.

Along with those fresh features such as super-powered performance thanks to new M1 Pro and M1 Max chips, the MacBook Pros boast better battery life, more ports for adding external devices like monitors and an improved keyboard.

But don't expect to get one at a budget price. The 14-inch MacBook Pro starts at $1,999, while the 16-inch starts at $2,499.

That's only the beginning. To get a MacBook with the top-of-the-line M1 Max chip, you have to start with the 16-inch Pro model, which starts at $3,499.

But what if that's not enough? Let's say you want that MacBook with the maximum 64GB unified memory, and 8 terabytes (or 8,000 GB) of storage. It'll only cost you $6,099.

Add Final Cut Pro and music editing app Logic Pro as installed software and you easily top $6,500. But at least you're guaranteed to have the most powerful MacBook ever.
